Care and Rehab Services

Our Services

We offer caring and progressive rehab options for residents requiring short-term skilled nursing rehabilitation. Our Rehab to Home program features tenured PT, OT and ST staff, with program oversight by Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Riccardo Giovannone, DO. Dr. Giovannone conducts medical rounds on ortho-rehab patients at our facility and has provided guidance and equipment selection for our new state-of-the-art rehabilitation department.

Our on staff dedicated pulmonologist, Dr. William C. Decker, DO and Medical Director Jonna Schmidt, MD ensure that your loved one has the attention they may need without delay. With privileges at Promedica Bixby and Herrick Hospitals and 53 years of joined experience you can rest assured that your loved one is in the best hands.

For patients requiring additional medical care, such as oxygen, wound care, and IV management, we offer a full range of skilled nursing services in a caring and supportive environment. Lynwood Manor provides quality long term care services for families who require the security of 24/7 supervision. Daily activities from Bingo to religious services stimulate the residents’ need for social interaction, and mental and physical stimulation.

The Dietary staff provides three quality meals and a daily snack based on resident preferences. Resident independence is encouraged but for those who need assistance with activities of daily living, the facility provides 24 hour nursing services, physician services, and medication management.

Our resident council provides an opportunity for residents to give us valuable insight into their needs and makes Lynwood Manor a wonderful place to live. Residents and families are encouraged to make Lynwood Manor their home by decorating their room with personal items, photographs, and hobbies.

Our common space allows residents to stay connected through Wi-Fi access, expanded satellite television service, and social interaction with visitors and other residents.

Lynwood Manor is the only VA-approved skilled nursing facility in Lenawee County. We offer compassionate care in a supportive environment, whether your stay is short-term, long-term or caregiver respite. We work with the VA to determine whether you qualify for any veteran’s benefits and we help put those benefits to work for you. If you have never  applied for benefits, we can help get you started. Even Vets who do not qualify for VA-paid medical coverage are welcome to stay with us.

Caregiver Respite:

Enrolled Veterans who meet VA criteria are eligible for 30 days of home caregiver respite stay per calendar year. This respite can give caregivers a break, whether they need to visit family, handle pressing matters, or undergo surgery.

Short-Term Rehab:

Our goal is to get you home! Veterans will stay in our rehabilitation wing and participate in physical and occupational therapies up to seven days per week.
